Jacksonville Downs Tech 77-53

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Women’s Basketball) – Florida Tech gave a strong effort Friday night, but Jacksonville’s depth proved to be too much as the Division I Dolphins defeated the Panthers 77-53 in Swisher Gymnasium.

Ballweber Named to SSC All-Freshman Team

ORLANDO, Fla. (Volleyball) – For the second year in a row the Panthers have placed one of their own on the Sunshine State Conference Volleyball All-Freshman team. For 2009, Caitlyn Ballweber graces that list after leading Florida Tech in kills and points this season.

Panthers Prevail Against Scrappy UPR-Rio Piedras, 68-36

MELBOURNE, Fla. (Women’s Basketball) –  For the second game in a row, Florida Tech used a strong second half to pull away from its opposition as the Panthers defeated the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras 68-36 Wednesday evening in the Clemente Center.
