54 Panthers among Florida Tech’s Newest Graduates
MELBOURNE, Fla. (Athletics News) – Florida Tech President Anthony J. Catanese presented degrees to 54 Panthers during Saturday’s spring undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremonies at the Clemente Center. They join over 50,000 alumni spanning the entire globe.
The graduates represented 18 of the university’s 21 sports and cheerleading. Among the newest graduates are three assistant coaches who earned their master’s degree: Jennifer Gillette, Jonathan Hanna and Ray Herring. A list of the 54 Panthers can be found below. Founded at the dawn of the Space Race in 1958, Florida Tech is the only independent, technological university in the Southeast. PayScale.com ranks graduates' mid-career median salaries in first place among Florida's universities, and lists Florida Tech among the top 20 universities in the South-both public and private. The university has been named a Barron's Guide "Best Buy" in College Education, designated a Tier One Best National University in U.S. News & World Report, and is one of just nine schools in Florida lauded by the 2012 Fiske Guide to Colleges.
