Inaugural Men’s Lacrosse Game Captured in Video Feature
MELBOURNE, Fla. (Men’s Lacrosse) – Highlights and interviews from Florida Tech’s inaugural men’s lacrosse game at Melbourne Central Catholic’s Hustler Stadium can be viewed in a video feature at FloridaTechSports.com and YouTube.com.
The two-minute, 40-second piece includes interviews with FIT President Dr. Anthony Catanese, athletic director Bill Jurgens, head coach Ryan McAleavey and junior goalie Mason Cook.
In their inaugural game on Tuesday, the Panthers played fellow Deep South Conference (DSC) member Saint Leo. Patrick Manning scored the program’s first goal less than eight minutes into the game. Christian Isola tacked on the team’s second goal and FIT lead 2-0 at the end of the first quarter. Danny Channell added a third goal and Andrew Conley closed out the scoring with 51 seconds to play. Cook stopped 14 shots in goal, several were point-blank chances.

The Panthers will play their first road game Friday at 4 p.m. at Lees-McRae in Banner Elk, N.C.
