NORMAN, Okla. (Men’s Golf) – Christian Westhorpe, a recent Florida Tech marketing graduate, was awarded Division II PING All-South Region Wednesday evening.
He concluded his two-year Panther career in May as one of the program’s best golfers. He was named All-Sunshine State Conference Honorable Mention by the league’s head coaches and sports information directors following the season. Westhorpe helped the Panthers record their best season in their nine-year history. The team earned its second straight appearance in the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional, while setting new single-season records for GolfStat national ranking (22), average score per round (295.70), rounds of par or better (six), lowest score for 36 holes (572) and lowest score for 54 holes (863). It also tied two school records, wins (two) and lowest round score (283).
