MELBOURNE, Fla. (Men’s and Women’s Tennis) – The Third Annual Aces for Autism Tennis Clinic is set for Saturday, June 23, at the Kiwi Tennis Club to support Florida Tech’s Scott Center for Autism Treatment’s Social Skills Program.

A free tennis skills class for ages 5-15 who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and their siblings will be held from 12-1 p.m. on June 23. Free t-shirts, drinks and snacks will be provided to participants. Children can bring their own racket, or borrow one at the clinic.

The event occurs during the Florida Beer Company Pro Tennis Tournament, a USTA men’s tennis event, June 15-24, which also benefits The Scott Center. Other special events include Autism Awareness night June 19 and Florida Tech night June 22, featuring the Florida Tech faculty band TWITCHY.

Florida Tech is among the sponsors for the 10-day tournament.

"We hope that the community will come out and support this exciting tennis event,” Colleen Middlebrooks, outreach coordinator at The Scott Center, said.
