Women’s Track & Field Achieves USTFCCCA All-Academic Status

NEW ORLEANS (Women’s Track & Field) – Florida Tech was named a United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II All-Academic Team for recording a 3.51 cumulative team grade point average, announced on Thursday. The award is the program’s first in its two-year history.
The Panthers’ 3.51 GPA tied for the ninth-highest among 83 teams. To be eligible for the honor, a team must meet or surpass a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Helping the team achieve All-Academic status was Nicole Clarke, Kelsey Clayton, Audryanna Fernandez, Stephanie Fonseca, Brianna Fugere, Kandice Lord, Dorian Magee, Renee Morgan, Brittany Reinard, Jessica Richardson and Tomena Scholze. Over one month ago, Clarke was chosen USTFCCCA All-South Region for one of her events, the 5,000-meter run. She ended her Panther career with a third-place finish in the women’s 3,000-meter run, clocking in at 10:39.36 at the Miami Hurricane Alumni Invitational. |
