Florida Tech Football Uniforms to be Unveiled TODAY!

MELBOURNE, Fla. (Football) – The visual identity of Florida Tech’s football program will be unveiled for the first time in a free pep rally open to the public today, Sept. 14 from 3:30-5 p.m. at the Clemente Center. The event is presented by Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Audi of Melbourne.
FIT President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Anthony Catanese, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Dr. T. Dwayne McCay, Athletic Director Bill Jurgens and Head Coach Steve Englehart will be on hand to help unveil the team’s uniforms. Additional sponsors include The Broken Barrel Tavern in Palm Bay and Walmart Neighborhood Market in Melbourne. There will be giveaways, prizes, free food, games and music from KISS 95.1 FM and FIT’s Pep Band. Also, fans will have an opportunity to meet the Panthers as they prepare for their first-ever intrasquad scrimmage at Palm Bay High School’s Pirate Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m. The intrasquad scrimmage is the first of four that will be played at Palm Bay High School this fall. The remaining three intrasquad scrimmages are Saturday, Oct. 6 at 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m. All four scrimmages are free, open to the public and are presented by Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Audi of Melbourne. FIT is using this fall to prepare for its inaugural season in 2013 as a football-only member of the Gulf South Conference. The Clemente Center is located off West University Blvd. and Babcock Street in Melbourne. |
