WINTER PARK, Fla. (Men's Cross Country) – Florida Tech graduate student Chris Cacciapaglia has been named this week’s Sunshine State Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week presented by VALIC.

The marine biology major led the men’s cross country team to its second top-two finish of the season, recording an individual second place finish at the Saint Leo Invitational. The graduate student ran the 8k race in a time of 26:02.00 to finish tops among all Div. II and Sunshine State Conference opponents. This was Cacciapaglia’s second individual top-five finish of the season.

Cacciapaglia earns his first Sunshine State Conference Runner of the Week Award this season. This is the first SSC award for the men’s cross country team since Moses Kirui took home the honor Oct. 10 of last year.
