Dear Panther Family,

As I look around our program, I am incredibly excited about the group we are building and, most importantly, the people who make up this team.

We welcome back Michaela Medico, Sydney Logsdon, Rea Ukaj, Mikayla Morin, Amanda Ogbonna, Deirdre Miller and Elif Bayrak. These Panthers bring valuable experience from last season and understand what it means to be part of our culture, our standards and our vision for this program.

What excites me most about our returning Panthers is the leadership, growth and ownership they bring into this season. They have experienced our program firsthand, and now they have an opportunity to help establish the standard for everyone who walks through our doors.

We are also thrilled to welcome eight new scholar-athletes to the Panther Family. Our incoming group includes transfers Mak Snyder, Zeynep Oturakci, Despy Baltzi and Hannah Dunn, along with freshmen Miranda Campos, Johanna Kolseth Kiland, Greta Scholle and Anna Wagner.

Our new Panthers represent Germany, Greece, Norway, New Zealand, Turkey and the United States, continuing the global makeup that has become such an important part of our program.

We have added size and versatility in the frontcourt, athleticism and skill on the perimeter, and players who have competed at high levels both nationally and internationally. This group brings an incredible combination of athletic ability, experience, versatility and international perspective.

When I took over this program, I talked often about "We Before Me." That continues to be at the heart of everything we do.
Last season, we took important steps as a program. We finished 10-18 overall, went 7-13 in Sunshine State Conference play and earned a spot in the SSC Tournament. We also earned a road victory over No. 17 Embry-Riddle, our program's first win over a ranked opponent since 2015.

Now, the challenge is to build on that foundation.

I want our alumni to know that you are still a part of this program. Every player who has worn the Florida Tech uniform has helped build the foundation of Panther Women's Basketball. The traditions, relationships and memories created by the women who came before us continue to shape the experience of our current student-athletes.

Please stay connected. Come back to campus. Attend a game. Share your Florida Tech basketball memories with us. Introduce yourselves to our current Panthers and let them know what it means to be part of this family.

Our players should know that they are not simply playing for the team that exists today. They are playing for everyone who has worn the Panther uniform before them - and for those who will wear it after them.
