2015-16: Recorded season best time in 50-yard free in 21.80...swam a season best 100-yard breast in 57.49...swam a season best 200-yard breast in 2:10.75.
High School:Â A six-time letterwinner at The Linsly School in Wheeling, West Virginia...was named the swimmer of the year in 2013 and 2014 and received the coaches award three straight times from 2012-14...holds the school, conference and pool records in the 200 medley, 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay...was the Bahamas Carifta team captain in 2015...also competed in cross country and track & field.
Club:Â Competed for 12 years for Barracuda Swim Club in Nassau, Bahamas.
Personal:Â Son of Darren and Rochelle Bastian...has one brother, Izaak...post-graduation goal is to return to the Bahamas and make the best possible life for himself...may also return to the U.S. one day...chose Florida Tech to be closer to home, to swim at the collegiate level and for the excellent engineering programs...most admires his father because he has taught him many life lessons.
