Athletics Facilities Game Day Policies

Florida Institute of Technology encourages a fun, respectful, and family friendly game day environment for all attendees. These interim rules are adopted to clarify expectations for tailgating, alcohol consumption, outside food and beverage restrictions, and general entry rules for outdoor athletic events, to ensure consistent enforcement and promote safety and compliance with Florida law and University standards.

Stottler Field — Barricade Area Policy

Directive to Game Operations Staff & Security Personnel

✓  Permitted
 Fans may rest their arms on top of the barricades.
 
✗  Prohibited
Applies to all fans. Strictly enforced for minors.
🚫 Climbing or hanging on the barricades in any manner
🚫 Inserting feet into gaps between barricade panels and standing or pushing off from them
🚫 Pulling or pushing oneself upward using the barricades as leverage
🚫 Obstructing the line of sight of other fans by standing on or elevated above the barricades
 
⚠️ Children require immediate attention.
Any minor observed engaging in prohibited behavior should be addressed promptly — both due to injury risk and the likelihood others will follow. Engage parents or guardians directly when possible.
 
Enforcement Protocol
1 Game Operations Staff or Athletics Administrators
Issue a verbal warning to the fan. This is the first and preferred course of action.
2 If fan does not comply — contact Florida Tech Security
Game Operations Staff or Athletics Administrators will request on-site Florida Tech Security personnel to assist with enforcement.
