Overview

Welcome to Panther Athletics.

These interim rules are adopted to clarify expectations for tailgating, alcohol consumption, outside food and beverage restrictions, and general entry rules for outdoor athletic events — ensuring consistent enforcement and promoting safety and compliance with Florida law and University standards.

Tailgating

Designated Tailgating Areas.

Tailgating is permitted in designated areas on the Florida Tech campus. View the interactive campus map below to find your designated tailgating zone before arriving on game day.

Stottler Field

Barricade Area Policy.

Directive to Game Operations Staff & Security Personnel · Updated 3/25/2026 — Jamie Joss, Director of Athletics

✓ Permitted

Fans may rest their arms on top of the barricades

✗ Prohibited

Climbing or hanging on the barricades in any manner
Inserting feet into gaps between barricade panels and standing or pushing off from them
Pulling or pushing oneself upward using the barricades as leverage
Obstructing the line of sight of other fans by standing on or elevated above the barricades

Applies to all fans. Strictly enforced for minors.

⚠ Children & Minors — Immediate Attention Required

Any minor observed engaging in prohibited behavior should be addressed promptly — both due to injury risk and the likelihood others will follow. Engage parents or guardians directly when possible.

Enforcement Protocol

Verbal Warning — Game Operations Staff or Athletics Administrators

Issue a verbal warning to the fan. This is the first and preferred course of action.

Contact Florida Tech Security

If the fan does not comply, Game Operations Staff or Athletics Administrators will request on-site Florida Tech Security personnel to assist with enforcement.
