Florida Tech Panthers

Headshot Hennon

Walker Hennon

Walker Hennon begins his first season as an assistant coach with the Florida Tech baseball program in 2026, serving as the Panthers’ hitting and defensive coach while assisting with daily operations.

Hennon joined Florida Tech after two seasons at Flagler College (2024–25), where he worked with hitters and all defensive positions and also served as the team’s first base coach. During his time with the Saints, he contributed to significant improvements on both sides of the ball. In 2024, Flagler posted its highest fielding percentage since 2018, and infielder Payton Palladino earned recognition as a finalist for the Division II Gold Glove Award. Offensively, the Saints recorded their highest batting average, most runs scored, and most extra-base hits in a season since joining the Peach Belt Conference.

Prior to his coaching career, Hennon was a multi-year infielder at Lincoln Memorial University from 2017 to 2023. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Rehabilitation Science in 2021 and completed his MBA in Sports Management in 2023. Hennon also excelled academically, earning multiple Dean’s List honors and being named an Academic All-American in 2020.

In the summer of 2025, Hennon served as head coach of the Rochester Ridgemen of the New York Collegiate Baseball League and has additional experience training youth players throughout the Southeast.

Hennon comes from a strong baseball background, as his father, Rodney Hennon, has been the head coach at Georgia Southern University since 1999.
