Rick Stottler Field

Rick Stottler Field is home to the Florida Tech men’s and women’s lacrosse and soccer programs opened in 2004 and is named after Florida Tech Hall of Fame Men’s Soccer Coach Rick Stottler. Stottler is the most successful soccer coach ever at Florida Tech with a record of 190-66-12. He was also the head coach for both of Florida Tech’s National Championship teams in 1988 and 1991. Rick Stottler Field is currently going through renovations to install artificial playing turf. The installation of the state-of-the-art Shaw Legion NXT 2.0 synthetic turf with a natural GeoFill Infill and NXT Play Pad is expected to be complete by mid-July.

The $2.8 million project includes a hybrid system that offers a realistic aesthetic with an electrifying degree of durability. This system is built for strength, built for pushing the envelope and providing endurance through even the toughest of matchups. The field will also feature Geofill which is 100% natural and plays naturally, resulting in a perfect balance of Vertical Deformation, Rotational Resistance, and Energy Restitution.

Men’s lacrosse will move into the facility full-time for the 2024 season after previously competing at the VTC Playing Field.
