Athletic Communications

The Florida Tech Athletic Communications Department is responsible for providing timely and accurate information to a variety of outlets, including the media, coaches, student-athletes and fans. Comprised of four full-time staff members, the department reports and publicizes on all 15 of Florida Tech's varsity intercollegiate sports.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Writing and developing content for the official home of Florida Tech athletics, www.FloridaTechSports.com
  • Writing and distributing game stories
  • Arranging and overseeing interviews for coaches and student-athletes
  • Compiling and distributing statistics
  • Archiving pertinent information on program, teams, coaches and student-athletes
  • Producing information and promotional publications
  • Managing the department's social media pages
  • Promoting department and teams through athletic marketing

New Student-Athlete Bio Questionnaires

All incoming student-athletes are required to fill out a New Student-Athlete Questionnaire. Information provided will be used for releases on signings, as well as for bios, both online and print.

Athletics Logo & Style Guide

The Florida Tech Athletics Style Guide provides the official guidelines for use of the Florida Tech athletics logos on collateral, signage, merchandise and more. As part of the overall university style guide, the Panther logo is authorized to emphasize school spirit and Panther pride. Any use of the FT mark by non-athletics university staff, external partners or vendors must be approved through the Athletic Communications Department or University Marketing & Communications.

Media Information

All interviews and student-athlete information should be obtained and released through the Athletic Communications Department. To request an interview with a coach, student-athlete or administrator, contact a member of the athletic communications staff. 

Visiting Media and Photographers

Visiting media and photographers planning on attending a home event on the Florida Tech campus should contact The athletic communications office 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time.

Post Game Reporting

Programs, quick facts and printed statistics are available at each home event. Complete statistical books will be available at the conclusion of the games/meets upon request.
