MELBOURNE, Fla. (Men's and Women's Swimming) – Florida Tech and Panther Aquatic Center invite you to join us for our upcoming 2013 Preseason High School Swim Clinic, which will run from July 8-Aug. 2.

The clinic is open to swimmers ages 12-18 and costs $175 per swimmer. It will include 12 sessions and 30 hours of instruction with sessions taking place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:30-10 a.m. during the July 8-Aug. 2 period.

The tentative session format includes a half hour of stretching and dry land work, time to identify goals and objectives for the day's training and more than two hours of a mixture of training sets and technique work.

Swimmers attending the clinic will have the chance to improve their fundamental skills, power and endurance, and mental preparation for training and competition. They will also gain valuable preseason training for the upcoming high school season.

Participants will receive video analysis of their swimming, a goal sheet and score card for the upcoming season and a T-shirt. They will also have the chance to participate in a “showcase” final practice, which will be held in a swim meet format.

The program is coordinated by FIT Head Swimming Coach and Director of Aquatics Jeni Ritter. Ritter became the first head coach of the Panthers' men's and women's swimming teams in June 2011. She has also coached at Saint Francis University and Florida International University and was a volunteer coach at the Ohio State University while attending graduate school there. Ritter is a former collegiate swimmer at Ashland University where she was a five-time All-America honorable mention honoree.
