Panthers Bow Out of Sunshine State Conference Tournament Early

Barry upends Florida Tech 1-0 in quarterfinal round

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. (Women's Soccer) – Florida Tech fired 16 shots Tuesday night but were unable to put anything past Barry goalkeeper Paula Forero, falling to the Buccaneers 1-0 in the quarterfinals of the Sunshine State Conference Tournament.

The lone goal of the game came off of the foot of Rayah Seckler in the 42nd minute, who gathered a cross from the right wing at the top of the six-yard box and beat Panther keeper Karlyn Prisco.

FIT had its share of opportunities in the opening half, recording four shots on goal and taking seven corner kicks.

Aubri Williamson was on the attack all night, peppering the Bucs with six total shots, three of which were on net. Eva Banton, Keira McCarthy and Mary Watson all tallied a pair of shots in the contest.

The Panthers now await their fate, setting sights on Monday's NCAA Division II Selection Show.
