WINTER PARK, Fla. – Florida Tech women's soccer started its 2017 Sunshine State Conference tournament title defense as they hit the road for a battle with Rollins. The team fought hard but a slow start cost them the game as they fell 1-0 to RC.
The Panthers came out the gate flat as the women allowed the Tars to dictate the pace of play. This led to Florida Tech conceding a goal in the 13
th minute.
The team quickly started to wake up after that as they slowed the Rollins attack as the begun to find their own. The half ended with the score standing at 1-0 in favor of Rollins.
The second half was an even battle as the Panthers attack came to life and began to challenge the Tars keeper as Rollins continued to challenge
Maria Sanchez Recuero. Both keepers held firm though and did not concede another goal on the night.
This led to the unfortunate 1-0 score line that was not in favor of Florida Tech.
This will wrap up the teams 2018 season as they will take some time to rest before they gear up for their 2019 campaign.
