WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – In the final game of the season, Florida Tech women's basketball looked to earn one last win in the 2018-19 season. However, a fourth-quarter surge by Palm Beach Atlantic spoiled that as the Panthers loss 71-66.
 
Senior, Tereza Sedlakova, closed out her Panthers' career with an excellent outing as she led the team in points with 19 and was tied for the lead in rebounds, with Cheyenne Scott, at six. Scott also led the team in assists with her two dimes.
 
Florida Tech battled it out in the first quarter but thanks to amazing efforts by Sedlakova and Amanda Allen the team managed to come out on top, 19-15.
 
The Crimson and Gray carried this momentum into the second quarter as the team put together a 9-0 run in the middle of the period which helped powered them to a 35-27 advantage at the half.
 
The third quarter was a back and forth affair as neither team managed to keep the momentum for long. This gave way to a high scoring 10 minutes that at the buzzer had the score at 55-48.
 
Unfortunately for Tech, the final quarter of the season was all PBA. The Sailfish continued its hot streak on the offensive end and clamped down on defense as they outscored Florida Tech, 23-11. This made the final score of the contest, 71-66.
 
The Panthers will look ahead to the 2019-20 season as this was the team's last contest for the year.
