FIRST HALF:
- Panthers got off to a strong start leading 14-3 with 4:00 left in the first quarter following a three by Severine Uggen. Aiste Vaitekunaite led the charge scoring 7 straight points to guide Tech to the early double-digit lead.
- Uggen drained her second three with 2:38 left in the first and the Panthers took a 17-6 lead into the second.
- Vaitekunaite scored all nine points for the Panthers in the second quarter, including a three and layup on consecutive possessions to increase the advantage to 26-9 with 5:58 remaining in the half.
- Rollins answered with a 10-0 run to close the half and Tech carried a 26-19 lead into halftime.
SECOND HALF:
- Tars continued their comeback with back-to-back threes to open the third quarter, cutting the margin to 26-25 with 8:42 left.
- Hannah Roney and Fanny Paulin knocked down threes to get Tech's lead to 32-26 with 7:21 to go.
- Panthers knocked down 3 more beyond the arc, including two by Uggen and one by Vaitekunaite, and Tech led 45-39 with 1:28 remaining in the third.
- A contested layup by Dalma Ehmann helped Tech take a 47-41 edge into the fourth quarter.
- Ehmann drained a pair of baskets to open the fourth and increase Tech's lead to 51-44 with 7:25 remaining.
- Paulin knocked down a three and Lina Stranger-Johannessen made a free throw to push the Panthers' advantage to 57-47 with 4:09 remaining.
- Uggen made her fifth three-pointer of the game to increase the margin to 60-49 with 3:03 left on the clock.
- Panthers were able to close out the game at the free throw line, scoring their final 7 points at the charity stripe on the way to earning their first SSC win of the season.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Vaitekunaite led the Panthers with 20 points, five rebounds, two blocks, and one steal on 7-7 shooting from the field, 4-4 from the three, and 2-4 from the line.
- Uggen tallied 15 points, three rebounds, one steal, and one block on 5-12 shooting including 5-8 fom beyond the arc.
- Roney added 11 points, three rebounds, seven assists, and one block.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Panthers shot 46% (23-50) from the field, 54.5% (12-22) from beyond the arc, and 56.3% (9-16) on free throws.
- Tars made 33.3% (19-57) of its shots in the game, including 31.4% (11-35) from the three, and 66.7% (12-18) at the line.
- Both teams tied with 33 rebounds a piece.
- Tech held the advantage in points in the paint (18-16), second chance points (9-7), fast break points (7-4), and bench points (21-14).
