MELBOURNE, Fla. - After placing fourth in the SSC regular season, Florida Tech hosted Barry in the SSC Quarterfinals. In what turned out to be a historic night, the Panthers scratched out a 1-0 win over the Bucs. Â

STATS OF THE MATCH:Â
- Jessica Cravero came close to giving Florida Tech the lead in the 12' on a well-hit shot from inside the box that just went over the crossbar.Â
- In the 18' the Panthers scored what would turn out to be the game-winner on a cross from Marem Ndiongue that Maya Queiroz smashed into the back of the net. Â
- At halftime, Florida Tech had outshot Barry 11-5.Â
- Barry came closest to scoring in the 64' when Mckenna Delong fired a shot from outside the box that hit the crossbar.
- Panther's goalkeeper Maria Sanchez Recuero made five saves, including one in the 85' that gave her the 280th of her career, which is a new program record. Â
- Corner kicks were in favor of Florida Tech 4-2.Â
- In what was a physical match at times, Barry was given four yellow cards while Tech was assessed two. Â
- Fouls were almost even with Barry committing 15 and Florida Tech committing 14. Â
- Cravero led the Panthers with four shots on the night. Â
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:Â
- Florida Tech improves to 9-10-7 all-time against Barry.Â
- This is the Panthers first win over the Bucs since November 3, 2017 in the SSC Semifinals. Â
- Tech has now made the SSC Semifinals for the second consecutive season. Â
- Queiroz's goal increased her total to seven on the year, which is a team high. Â
UP NEXT: The Panthers will be back in action on Thursday Nov. 3rd for the Semifinals of the SSC Tournament at No. 1 seeded Florida Southern. Kickoff from Lakeland is scheduled for 7 p.m.Â
