FIRST HALF:
- Saint were on the board first with a layup, but the Panthers quickly answered with a layup by Tai Roberts and a three-pointer by Severine Uggen to take a 5-2 lead, 8:40 to go.
- Flagler then went on 15-2 run to take a commanding lead19-7 with 1:50 remaining in the first period.
- Tech opened up the second period with a layup by Farah Shaaban. The Saints then went on an 11-2 run to push the lead to 22.
- Right before the half, freshman Emily Acampora drained two three-pointers to cut the deficit to 12 and give the Panthers some momentum heading into the half.
- Saints led with a double-digit lead at the half 37-25.
SECOND HALF:
- The Panthers came out of the locker room with some urgency cutting the lead to 10. Lina Stranger-Johannessen made a jumper and Remingtyn Smith was sent to the line making both of her free-throws.
- Stranger-Johanessen drained a three-pointer, and the Panthers were within 7 with 6:59 to go in the third period.
- The Saints would go on a 6-0 run to push the lead back out to 13.
- The Panthers responded and Acampora hit another three-pointer to pull Tech within three points with 3:15 to go in the third period.
- Flagler would end the third period up by 9.
- The Panthers were 3-13 in the fourth quarter, while the Saints went 8-14. The late comeback from Tech wouldn't be enough to overcome the Saints 69% shooting from the field in the first period.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Freshman Acampora led the Panthers with 16 points, three steals, and a rebound.
- Roberts tallied 15 points, two steals, two assists, and a rebound.
- Stranger-Johannessen added 11 points, four rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and one steal.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Panthers shot 29.6% (16-54) from the field, 33.3% (7-21) from beyond the arc, and 91.7% (22-24) on free throws.
- Flagler shot 61.2% (30-49) from the field, including 75% (9-12) from the three, and 70% (7-10) at the line.
- The Saints held the advantage in points in the paint (26-8), fast break points (6-5).
- Tech led in second chance points (11-2) and bench points (28-11).
