FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.- The Florida Tech women's basketball team traveled to Fort Lauderdale to take on Nova Southeastern. The Sharks offense was too much for the Panthers and Tech fell 107-68.

FIRST QUARTER
- Nova Southeastern jumped out to an early 10-0 lead forcing Tech to call a timeout with 7:57 to go.
- Tech was able to get on the board with a layup from Tai Roberts.
- The Sharks went on a 12-0 run to extend their lead to 21.
- Back-to-back buckets from Divine Guthrie ended the Panthers scoring drought.
- Heading into the second half, the Panthers trailed 33-10.
SECOND QUARTER
- Emily Acampora scored her first points of the night with a jumper to start off the second quarter.
- The Sharks responded with a 7-0 run.
- Both teams traded baskets over the next few minutes before Smith drove to the basket for a layup and drawing the foul for a chance at a three-point play.
- The Panthers gained some momentum going on a 5-0 scoring run heading into the half to cut the margin 58-36.
- Both teams scored 25 points in the second quarter.
THIRD QUARTER
- The Sharks offensive continued to extend their lead with a 12-2 run to push their lead to 36 with 5:34 to go.
- Tai Roberts scored the next two layups for the Panthers.
- The Panthers were outscored 35-12 in the third quarter.
FOURTH QUARTER
- Freshman Mckenzie Winder scored her first points as a Panther with a layup followed by a free-throw.
- Guthrie scored on a layup to put her in double digits at 10 with 6:55 to go.
- The Panthers scored 21 points to Nova's 14 in the fourth quarter.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Roberts led the way recording 16 points, five rebounds, two steals, and one assist.
- Vaitekunaite tallied 14 points and five rebounds.
- Guthrie added 10 points, three rebounds, and one steal.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Florida Tech is now 27-22 in the all-time series.
- Nova Southeastern shot 49% (36-74) from the field, including 38% (12-32) from the three, and 79% (23-29) at the free throw line.
- The Panthers shot 41% (25-61) from the field, 20% (3-15) from behind the three-point line, and 60% (15-25) from the free-throw line.
- Nova Southeastern led in rebounds (44-39), second chance points (12-6), points in the paint (42-34), and assists (25-9).
UP NEXT: Florida Tech will be back action on Sunday, Jan. 1 against Rollins on the road. Tip-off is set for 2:00PM.
