FIRST HALF:
- Tritons jumped out to a quick 10-2 lead with 5:36 to go in the first quarter.
- Panthers cut the margin to 15-8 on a jumper by Hannah Roney with 3:57 left in the first.
- EC closed the opening frame on an 8-2 run to take a 23-10 advantage into the second quarter.
- Aiste Vaitekunaite opened the second quarter with a three to cut the margin to 23-13 with 9:10 left in the first half.
- Tritons pushed their lead to 31-14 with 5:32 to go following back-to-back threes.
- After Eckerd increased the lead to 20, Tech would get free throws from Lina Stranger-Johannessen and Makyla Daniels to trim the deficit to 36-18 at halftime.
SECOND HALF:
- Panthers opened the third quarter on a 9-2 run to cut the margin to 38-27 with 6:26 left.
- Eckerd answered with a quick 7-0 run to build its lead to 45-27 with 4:54 remaining.
- Pair of jumpers by Roney and Dalma Ehmann made the score 51-33 just before the end of the third quarter.
- Threes by Roney and Fanny Paulin cut the deficit to 57-40 with 6:29 to go the in the fourth. Paulin's three was the 100th of her Florida Tech career.
- Tech cut the margin to 58-47 after a layup by Ehmann and another three from Roney with 4:48 remaining.
- Panthers continued their comeback and made it a 5-point game, 58-53, with 1:05 to go on consecutive threes by Vaitekunaite and Paulin.
- Tritons were able to build their advantage to 62-55 with 18 seconds left and then hold during the waning seconds for the road win.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Hannah Roney led the Panthers with 14 points, 6 assists, 2 steals and 2 rebounds on 4-12 shooting.
- Fanny Paulin ended with 12 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals on 5-13 shooting.
- Aiste Vaitekunaite added 10 points and 6 rebounds on 2-5 shooting.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Florida Tech made 30.4% (17-56) from the field, 28% (7-25) from three, and 77.8% (14-18) at the free throw line.
- Eckerd shot 46.9% (23-49) in the game, including 36% (9-25) beyond the arc, and 58.3% (7-12) at the charity stripe.
- Eckerd won the rebounding battle 37-33.
- Panthers finished with an edge in second chance points (10-8) and points off turnovers (15-11).
- Tritons had an advantage in bench points (28-24), points in the paint (22-8) and fastbreak points (3-0).
