STATS OF THE GAME:
- It was a game of pitching up until the fifth inning when Rollins saw five players reach home plate.
- Grace Germer got the scoring started for the Tars on a wild pitch.
- After a walk and a pop up, Ravien Bryant hit a RBI single, bunt, to give the Tars run number two.
- The final runs came on a three-run homer over the right field wall by Chelsea Peace to advance Rollins' lead, 5-0.
- Panthers threatened in the bottom of the sixth on a two out bases-loaded at bat, but Rollins pitching saved the Tars throwing a strikeout for out number three.
- In the top of the seventh, with two on base, the Panther defense came up big recording a triple play.
- Ashley Worrell threw a three-hit complete game for Rollins allowing three walks on four strikeouts to earn the win.
- Samantha Guider suffered the loss in the circle, allowing six hits, five runs (4 earned), and one walk on five innings of work.
- Kelsie Rivers threw two innings for the Panthers, allowing one hit, no runs, and two walks on one strikeout.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- The Panthers move to 57-55 all-time against the Rollins Tars.
- This is the sixth time this season the Panthers have been shutout.
