Saint Leo, Fla. – The Florida Tech men's swimming team returned to the pool on Saturday afternoon for a Sunshine State Conference meet with Saint Leo at the Marion Bowman Aquatics Center. The Lions ultimately emerged victorious by a score of 118.5-84.5

Freshman Josh McLean earned his first career victory with a win in the 500 Free thanks to a time of 4:57.05 that was over three seconds ahead of his closest competitor. Connor Orth earned his first win of the season by taking the 100 Breast with a 59.27 finish that was nearly two seconds ahead of second place.

Jack Pillsbury (10:33.33) earned second place in the 1000 Free, while Max Martino took second in the 50 Free with a 22.22 time that was just 0.09s behind the top spot. John Fonnotto took second in the 100 Fly thanks to a finish of 51.62. Daniel Aizenberg's top finish of the day came in the 100 Back, where he took second place through a time of 51.79 that was less than half a second off the top time.

In relay action, the group of Aizenberg, Orth, Fonnotto and Martino earned second in the 200 Medley with a time of 1:35.28. The team of Aizenberg, Reston Bartlett, Joao Felipe Nascimento and Martino took second in the 200 Free thanks to a 1:29.90 finish while the squad of Nathaniel Allen, David Armstrong, Joshua Cajuste and Jacob Sykora finished in third place with a 1:30.48 time.

Florida Tech will return to the Panther Aquatic Center next Friday January 27th at 12 noon for Senior Day against Florida Southern.
