Layna Pollock gave Tech a 1-0 lead in the 6
th inning that secured the win and snapped Eckerd's 13-game win streak.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- It was a pitcher's duel between Allison Platon and Brielle Benefield.
- It was scoreless through five innings. Through five innings, Platon allowed four hits, walked three batters, and struck out three batters.
- Benefield threw six innings allowing just one run and three hits.
- In the top of the 2nd inning, the Tritons had a runner on base, but Jayden Wright grounded into a double play and cleared the bases.
- Eckerd had a chance in the 5th inning with a runner on base, when Ella Coiner singled up the middle, but was thrown out trying to advance to second for an extra base.
- Miranda Schwartz got the rally going for Tech in the 6th inning with a single to left field. Madison McAllister came in to pinch run for Schwartz.
- Kelly McLaughlin laid down a successful sacrifice bunt to move the runner up to second base.
- Layna Pollock's clutch single to left field drove in McAllister for the game's first run.
- Sam Guider picked up her sixth win of the season. Guider threw two innings allowing no runs and no hits.

- Florida Tech is now 86-37 against Eckerd in the all-time series.
- Miranda Schwartz went 1-2 at the plate.
