MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Florida Tech women's soccer team shuts out Southern New Hampshire 2-0 on Sunday, Oct. 5. With the win, Tech improves to 6-1-4 (2-0-2 SSC) while the Penmen fall to 2-4-1 (1-1-1 NE10).

GAME NOTES
- Tech notched three shots during the 15th, 16th and 17th minutes. SNHU saved two while the third was deflected.
- After the deflection went out of bounds for an FT corner, the Panthers scored off a nice set piece as Ellinor Blaasternes found Ada Geier for Geier's second goal of the season.
- A minute later, Mia Otero fired a shot on goal that was saved by the Penmen keeper.
- Rio Naganawa launched a shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the SNHU goalkeeper earned her fourth save of the half.
- Florida Tech went into half with a 1-0 lead. The Panthers held SNHU to two shots total.
- Kaitlin Sinkler was busy out of halftime as she gathered saves in the 55th and 58th minutes.
- Nina Santiago fired a shot in the 65th minute just high of the Southern New Hampshire goal.
- Tech had another opportunity to extend the lead in the 70th minute as Carolina Falcao ripped a shot that was saved.
- The Panthers broke through again as Mia Otero found the back of the net for the third time this week. Otero was assisted by Izzie Bromage.
- Florida tech would continue to play great defense as they allowed no shots in the last 20 minutes of the contest. SNHU had three corners during that span.
