BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Panthers shut out Lynn in a series sweep in 6-0 and 9-0 victories. Haley Rider was a critical part of the offense, blasting two bombs and triples.

- Tech found their offensive groove from the jump. Chloe Fariello bunted to first base, then stole second and third. With runners on second and third, Miranda Schwartz put a ball in play, allowing Fariello to cross home plate. Haley Rider tripled to right center, having the Panthers up 2-0.
- Sammy Murphy's strong outing began with three straight flyouts in the bottom of the first.
- The Panthers registered three singles, which led to bases being loaded. Malaya Nelson stole home, adding another run.
- In the circle, Murphy let up a walk but struck out two in the second and third innings.
- Brooklyn Lorenzo led off the inning with a hit like she did in the second, eventually stealing home. The Panthers held the 4-0 edge after four innings.
- One more run came the following inning when Rider blasted her second career home run to right field.
- For four innings, Murphy did not give up a hit. Lynn finally got through, stroking two consecutive singles, but Murphy induced a double play to get out of the jam.
- Both teams in the sixth threatened with two runners in scoring position; however, neither plated a run.
- The Haley and Hailey Mix duo tallied hits to begin the seventh. Tech increased their lead to 6-0 on a Nelson sacrifice fly.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- The Panthers repeated their first inning of Game Two, taking a 2-0 lead. Ella Niles singled, stole a second, and scored on a fielding error. Later in the inning, Schwartz popped a sacrifice fly, scoring Fariello.
- Fariello took the circle and commanded it by producing a quick three-outs.
- Lynn forced a rare 1-2-3 inning from Tech and poked two hits in the bottom of the second. The Fighting Knights still did not scratch the scoreboard.
- Nelson walking in the third sparked a huge inning for the Panthers. After a Niles single up the middle and steals, Fariello brings her home on the ground. Niles scored on a Celeste Casillas hit, and Casillas crossed home on a Schwartz double.
- Tech wrapped up a five-run inning with a Rider two-run shot to right field. The Panthers increased their advantage to 7-0.
- In the fourth, each team singled and stole second but did not change the score.
- Schwartz got on base again in the fifth inning, and Rider brought her around on a triple. Jillian Moeller got in on the action, striking a ball into the outfield for the 9-0 lead.
- With one last shot at keeping the game alive, Fariello produced three outs, striking out the final batter, sealing the victory.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Haley Rider had a stellar day in Boca Raton, going 5-for-7 with two triples, two home runs, and five RBI.
- Ella Niles recorded four hits in seven at-bats while also stealing three bases.
- In Game Three, Miranda Schwartz was a perfect 2-for-2, tallying two runs and two RBI
- Sammy Murphy grabbed her eighth win after pitching a complete game and striking out three.
- Chloe Fariello registered her second career complete game and second win in her fifth start. She allowed three hits and zero runs and struck out three.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Tech is 67-30 all-time and 26-16 in Boca Raton.
- Since the start of the 2018 season, the Panthers are 22-4 against the Fighting Knights.
- Under Val Silvestrini, Florida Tech has won 13 of 16 series against Lynn.
- Niles' three swiped bags give her 30 on the year, a new career high that surpasses her 26 during her freshman year. It is also tied for fifth most by any Panther in a single season.
- Rider's four triples this season are the most triples by a Panthers in the 2020s.
