Women’s Lacrosse’s Upset Bid of No. 6 Saint Leo Falls Just Short

MELBOURNE, Fla. – It was going to take a 60-minute effort for Florida Tech women's lacrosse to beat one of the nation's best in their Sunshine State Conference opener at Rick Stottler Field on Saturday night and while the Panthers did provide, they learned just how much it takes to accomplish such a feat. Saint Leo's 6-0 run over a 7:07 stretch in the third quarter ultimately proved the difference despite a late push from Tech as the No. 6 Lions outlasted the Panthers, 17-14.
