COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Florida Tech women's soccer team drops their first road game to No. 2 Columbus State on Sunday, Sept. 7. The Panthers are now 1-1-0 while the Cougars improve to 1-1-0.

GAME NOTES
- After dropping their first game of 2025, Columbus State came out aggressive and scored in 16 seconds to take the early lead.
- The Cougars fired four more shots on within the 4th minute, Lauryn Wood drew a foul inside the box for a penalty kick and a chance to tie the game. Wood's shot was deflected by the Columbus State goalkeeper with a diving effort.
- Florida Tech would get off three more shots on goal before the end of the first half, all of which were saved by CSU.
- Columbus State would strike again with a goal within the first minute of the new half to extend their lead to 2-0.
- Carolina Falcao and Katie Ormerod both recorded shots in the 53rd and 54th minute but were unable to find the back of the net.
- In the 57th minute, Kaitlin Sinkler recorded her third save of the game to keep the Panthers within two.
- Tech was only able to get one shot on goal within the final 15 minutes of the game.

- Florida Tech is now 1-3-1 against the Cougars all-time.
- Despite being outshot by Columbus State 15-13, Florida Tech had eight shots on goal compared to the Cougars six.
