MELBOURNE, Fla. – Following a 2-2 start, the Panthers took the lead and never gave it up in a 61-55 win over Lynn. The Panther bench outscored Lynn's 30-7.

FIRST QUARTER:

• Panthers and Fighting Knights traded early baskets, with Tai Roberts answering Lynn's opening layup to tie the game at 9:06.
• Remingtyn Smith knocked down a three to give Tech its first lead at 5-4 and spark the offense.
• Florida Tech's defense took over midway through the quarter, forcing multiple Lynn turnovers that led to fast-break points.
• Nandinkhusel Nyamjav converted back-to-back transition layups off steals to extend the Panthers' advantage to 9-4 at 6:16.
• Amanda Ogbonna added two free throws while Roberts scored inside, pushing the lead to double digits with 3:37 left on the clock.
• Tech controlled the glass with several offensive rebounds, creating second-chance opportunities.
• Lynn briefly cut into the deficit with a free throw and a transition layup, but Roberts responded with another drive to the basket.
• The Panthers closed the quarter strong on both ends, carrying a 16-8 lead after one.

SECOND QUARTER:

• Lynn opened the quarter with a layup to trim the deficit, but Roberts answered quickly with a strong finish inside to keep Tech in control.
• Roberts then found Nyamjav for a jumper, extending the Panthers' lead to double digits at 20-10 a minute into the quarter.
• After a brief Lynn push that included a three-pointer and free throws, Tech stayed aggressive attacking the rim.
• Nyamjav sparked the offense with multiple paint finishes, converting on drives and in transition to maintain a six-point advantage.
• Ogbonna made her presence felt on the glass, earning second-chance opportunities and knocking down four key free throws.
• Despite Lynn hitting several threes to narrow the gap, the Panthers responded each time with poised offensive execution.
• With just over a minute left in the half, Roberts buried a clutch three-pointer to push the lead to 32-25.
• Strong rebounding and defensive stops in the final possessions allowed Tech to head into halftime up 32-25.

THIRD QUARTER:

• Roberts opened the half with a strong drive to the rim, pushing Tech's led to nine.
• Ogbonna answered inside off a Roberts assist, then converted two free throws to keep the Panthers ahead by multiple possessions, 38-31, at 7:37.
• The defense forced a key turnover and controlled the glass with rebounds from Mikayla Morin and McKenzie Winder to limit second chances.
• Nyamjav attacked the paint for another bucket to stretch the margin back to three after Lynn trimmed it to one.
• Elif Bayrak cleaned up an offensive rebound for a putback layup, maintaining Tech's edge with 2:21.
• Smith sparked a late push with a steal and fast-break layup plus the and-one, giving the Panthers their largest lead of the period.
• Florida Tech closed the quarter up 46-39 using transition offense and defensive pressure to win the frame and carry momentum into the fourth. 

FOURTH QUARTER:

• Tech opened the quarter protecting a lead but saw Lynn score on a tip-in after an offensive rebound to cut into the margin.
• Nandinkhusel answered with a jumper and Ogbonna added a free throw to steady the Panthers and push the lead back to 49-41.
• Morin finished inside off a Roberts assist, then converted two free throws on the break to keep Tech in control.
• Lynn chipped away at the deficit with free throws and a putback, but Ogbonna's tip-in extended the lead to 11-point difference.
• The Fighting Knights mounted a late push with a pair of layups and a fast-break score to make it a two-possession game.
• Roberts delivered a two free throw in the final minute, and Bayrak followed with two more at the line to make it almost impossible for Lynn to comeback.
• After a Lynn three trimmed the margin to four in the closing seconds, Nyamjav iced the game with two clutch free throws to secure the Panthers' win.

NOTABLE PANTHERS:

• Tai Roberts led all scorers with 17 points while also recording three rebounds, 5 assists and a steal.
• Amanda Ogbonna made it back-to-back 14 points and 13 rebounds game.
• Nandinkhusel Nyamjav also put of double-figures with 16 points. She also tallied five rebounds and a steal.
• Remingtyn Smith swiped three steals for a terrific defensive performance.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

• Tech is 35-26 all-time against Lynn and 19-10 at home, winning three straight at the Clemente Center.

UP NEXT: Tech earned a spot in the SSC Tournament and will face the number one seeded Eckerd on Tuesday, March 3 on the road.
