DAVIE, Fla. – Tech split its doubleheader against Nova Southeastern, dropping the first game 11-2 before bouncing back with a strong performance in the second, 4-1.
GAME ONE:

STATS OF THE GAME:
- Tech threatened in the first inning when Miranda Schwartz walked and Emma Chisholm singled to put runners on the corners, but Nova Southeastern turned a double play to escape the inning scoreless.
- After two quiet innings on both sides, the Sharks broke the game open in the third inning with a four-run rally on a two-RBI and RBI triple, before Russo later scored on a passed ball to make it 4–0.
- The Panthers got on the board in the fourth inning when Kate Rodel singled and Malaya Nelson followed with a base hit, allowing Rodel to score on Jillian Moeller's RBI groundout to cut the deficit to 4–1.
- Nova Southeastern added another run in the fifth inning, extending the Sharks' lead to 5–1.
- Chisholm launched a solo home run to leadoff the sixth, bringing the Panthers back within three at 5–2.
- However the Sharks pulled scoring six runs after a three-run shot to end the game in the sixth, 11-2.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- Chloe Fariello started in the circle and had a clean 1-2-3 inning in the first inning.
- Nova Southeastern struck first in the second inning with an RBI single for the 1–0 lead.
- Tech threatened earlier in the second inning on a Moeller's double and Ella Niles' single, but the Sharks escaped the frame by stranding three runners.
- Fariello held her own for four innings, getting out of trouble in her final two innings, finishing with one earned run
- Starting the fifth inning, Niles tripled to start the rally and Fareillo folloed with a bunt single, setting up Miranda Schwartz's three-run home run that put Florida Tech ahead 3–1.
- Sammy Murphy stepped into the circle in the fifth and despite giving up a single and a walk, she struck the next batter out and induced two fly outs.
- The Panthers added an insurance run in the sixth inning as Niles singled and later scored on an RBI single from Schwartz, extending the Panthers' lead to 4–1.
- The Panthers closed out the game in the seventh, retiring the final hitters to secure the 4-1 victory.

- Tech moved in front in the all-time series at 39-38
- Florida Tech's last series win against Nova Southeastern was a sweep at home on April 12-13, 2019. Their last series win at NSU was a sweep on April 6-7, 2018.
- Schwartz tied the program's hit-by-pitch record with 36 in her career.
- With Schwartz's four RBI in Game 2, she passed Jolie Miracle for the most RBI by a Panther in the 2020s with 88.
- Niles' four hits was a career-high in a single game.
- Niles' two runs scored in Game 2, she passed Cheyenne Nelson for the most runs scored by a Panther in the 2020s with 110.
- Fariello's stolen base in Game 2, she tied Tamara Baker (2001-2003) for 10th in program history for career steals with 36.
