MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Florida Tech pulled away in extras behind a dominant outing in the circle, securing a 6–1 win over Barry with a five-run eighth inning. The Panthers paired great pitching with three triples on the day, including a decisive three-RBI shot from
Mia Terito to seal it.

- Emma Chisholm hit a hard single up the middle in the first, but Panthers would not score.
- Sammy Murphy stranded two runners in the first with a strikeout and two consecutive fly outs.
- Barry scratched across the first run in the third, but Murphy quickly settled back in by striking out the final batter, keeping the score 1-0.
- Miranda Schwartz singled to left field and advanced to second however, the Panthers did not tie the game.
- The Panthers were able to tie it in the fifth as Audrey Gurule tripled and Malaya Nelson brought her in with an RBI groundout for the 1–1 score.
- Murphy continued to deal in the middle innings, retiring the side in order in both the fifth and sixth to keep momentum on Tech's side.
- Tech tried to finish the game in regulation when Terito smacked a single down the left side of the infield.
- After a scoreless seventh from both teams forced extras, Tech exploded in the eighth with five runs, Malaya Nelson tripled to left field, forcing the Buccaneers to intentionally walk Chisholm.
- After a walk to back-to-back Panthers which scored one run was followed by a bases clearing three-RBI triple by Terito.
- Gurule added another RBI single in the inning to cap the offensive surge and extend the lead to 6–1.
- Despite a Barry leadoff single, the Panthers closed it out in the bottom half, securing the 6–1 extra-inning win.

- Mia Terito registered two hits, including her second triple of the season, and three RBI.
- Audrey Gurule also recorded two hits, a triple, and a RBI.
- Malaya Nelson's triple sparked the extra inning rally.
- Sammy Murphy completed the eight-inning performance with six punchouts.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Since the start of the 2016 season, the Panthers have gone 17-13 against the Buccaneers.
- The Panthers have their 12th 30-win season in program history, their first since 2022 and the sixth under Val Silvestrini.
- For the first time in over a decade, the Panthers tallied three triples in a single game.
- Tech tied the conference lead in triples with 14 on the season. Also ties the team for the 8th most triples in a single season in program history.
