Biography
2015-16: Participated in freestyle and backstroke events... placing seventh twice in the 100- (58.20) and 200-yard backstroke (2:05.53) plus an appearance in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.30) at the 2016 SSC Championships... During the season she collected two victories in the 200-yard back, the first being in the Panther Invitational (2:04.94) and again versus Rollins (2:12.17).
2014-15:Â Raced in freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and medley events...placed eighth in the 200-yard backstroke (2:05.41), ninth in the 100-yard backstroke (58.26) and 17th in the 400-yard individual medley (4:51.97)Â at the 2015 Sunshine State Conference Championships...won the 200 back (2:12.31) versus Saint Leo and Lynn...garnered third in the 50 back (28.68) against Florida Atlantic.
2013-14: Competed in backstroke races during her freshman season… won the 100-yard backstroke at the Shark Invitational (12/16), touching in 59.69… claimed the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:04.43 at Rollins (11/9).
High School: Attended Notre Dame Academy in Hingham, Mass…swam four years and earned a second-place finish at the conference championship meet…captain of her swim team her senior year…conference champion in the 100-yard backstroke senior year…also received a coach's award, athletic award and a special recognition award her senior year.
Club: Swam for Weymouth Waves Swimming Club for one and a half years and has swam club level for 10 years…placed fourth overall at Long Course Championships in summer 2013.
Personal: Daughter of Kevin and Donna Coen…has an older brother, Robert…plans to attend graduate school and work hands-on with marine life…chose Florida Tech for its reputable marine biology program and good swimming program…admires her parents for how they put their family first, support her and her brother and encourage them to pursue what makes them happy.
