Nervous about being a mascot and not sure if you’re ready to join the team?
Still apply and email any and all concerns to Adam Krey (akrey@fit.edu), he will also provide details about the program and answer questions during your interview.
What are some benefits of being Pete the Panther?
Scholarship opportunities are available for those selected to become Pete:
The scholarship requires the student to maintain satisfactory academic progress. 3.0 GPA and 75% completion rate as an undergrad, 3.0 and 75% completion rate as a graduate.
Pete is loved by all fans and embodies fun, cool, and sometimes crazy characteristics. When you put on the Pete uniform you no longer are yourself you get to become Pete and create and cultivate a culture and environment for all Florida Tech students and members of the Melbourne community to love and respect.
What will be evaluated?
No previous experience is required. We will guide/ teach/ coach you thru each section of the audition. Each prospective mascot will be evaluated on the following:
Projection and Showmanship
Character Development
Skit Idea
Interview
