Biography
2009-10: Named a Sunshine State Conference second team selection as well as being named to the Daktronics All-South Region second team... led the team and ranked second in the conference at just over 20 points a contest while also pulling down 8.4 rebounds per game to finish fifth in the league... notched a career-best 38 points in a win over Puerto Rico-Mayaguez and later pulled down a career-high 14 rebounds in an overtime win at Tampa... had nine double-doubles altogether as a redshirt junior, starting in 23 of 25 games played... tabbed the SSC Player of the Week early in the season in a 2-0 week for Tech and then again on Feb. 1 after averaging 20 points and 12 boards over the two-game span that included the Panthers' first win over Lynn in Melbourne in Coach Mims' tenure at Florida Tech and the team's overtime win at Tampa.
2008-09: Just five minutes into the first regular season game on Nov. 15, the All-American candidate went storming down the court on a fast break lay-up, was hit by a defender and had the misfortune of coming down awkward on his ankle, tearing ligaments, and putting an immediate end to his promising season.
2007-08: Started 26 games… voted second team all-conference and all-region… had an All-America candidate kind of season, finishing second on the team in scoring and third in the SSC for rebounding…named the conference’s Player of the Week an impressive three times… poured in a season-high 28 points against Barry Feb 2… had a total of seven double-doubles for the season… averaged 17.6 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game… named the Panther Male Student-Athlete of the Month for November.
2006-07: Was Florida Tech's second leading scorer in his rookie season and second leading rebounder, starting in 19 out of 31 games... Named to the league's All-Freshman team... has a good size inside which helps on the defensive boards along with being strong offensively as well... scored a season-high 21 points at Jacksonville and at Palm Beach Atlantic and pulled down 11 rebounds on three occasions.
High School: A graduate of Nad Stolon Gymnasium, Sedlak played four years of varsity basketball... he was a part of the European U20 Championship team, All-Tournament Team in the Ostrava Christmas Tournament, earned the bronze medal at the u20 National Championships with USK Praha and was a member of the Slovakian U20 National Team.
Personal: Sedlak was born August 3, 1987, in Trnava, Slovakia... the son of Justin Sedlak and Lubica Sedlakova... chose Florida Tech because of the coaching prestige.
