2015 (Track and Field): Competed in seven events for Florida Tech...ran a 2:10 in the 800m at the UCF Invitational on 3/27...ran a 4:23 in the 1500m at the UCF Invitational on 3/27...ran a 9:39 in the 3000m at the USF Bulls Invitational on 3/12...ran a season best 16:19 in the 5000m at the Embry Riddle Last Chance Meet on 2/20.
2014 (Cross Country): Competed in all six of FIT's races...ran a season best 8K at Florida State Invite on Oct. 10 with a time of 27:23...one of seven runners selected to represent Florida Tech at NCAA South Region Championship on Nov. 22 where he ran a 35:26 10k.
2014 (Track and Field): Named to the FIT Athletic Director’s Honor Roll…competed in four meets taking part in distance events…member of the distance medley relay team that established the program record of 13:15.20 at the Embry-Riddle Last Chance Invitational on 2/26/14…ran the 5,000 meters in 16:37.29 at the Walt Disney World Track & Field Open on 3/22/14…ran the 3,000 meters in a season best 9:36.14 at the ERAU Last Chance Invitational on 2/26/14…finished the season with three top 10 finishes.
2013 (Cross Country): Named to the Regional Championship team... recorded a season best time of 26:38.38 at the Florida State Invitational.
2013 (Track and Field): Finished fourth in the 3,000 meter run at the Embry-Riddle Last Chance invitational with a time of 9:03.08...also placed third in the 5,000 meter run at the Last Chance Invitational with a time of 15:41.47...was fourth in the 1,500 meter run, and was eighth in the 3,000 meter run at the USF Open...finished eighth in the 1,500 meter run at the Miami Invitational, and was also fifth in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 9:29.83...finished fourth in the 5,000 meter run at the ERAU Spikes Classic with a time of 15:41.72.
2012 (Cross Country): Recorded three top-20 finishes on the season…notched a season-best 8k time of 27:10.7 at the Sunshine State Conference Championship (10/20)…finished a season best 13th at the Saint Leo Invitational (9/29)…competed in the NCAA National Championship (11/17) with a time of 33:26.6 in the 10k race.
2012 (Track and Field): Placed 16th in the 1 mile run at the Embry-Riddle Last Chance Invitational...was fifth in the 3,000 meter run at the Last Chance Invite with a time of 9:32.99...was 13th in the 5,000 meter run at the ERAU Spikes Classic.
2011 (Cross Country): Placed sixth in the Tampa Early Bird Classic in a time of 22:10, his season-low…marked another top-10 finish in the Florida Tech Invitational with an eighth place time of 29:05…finished the Sunshine State Conference Championship in 36th with a time of 29:35.
High School: Attended Covenant Christian School…participated in cross country and track…personal record for the 5K was 16:29.
Personal: Son of Michele and Darin Zauner…he also goes by Zeke…chose Florida Tech for its reputation in engineering…favorite sport is cross country…favorite words of wisdom are “Play hard, play smart, play together, play for Christ”…favorite movie is “Star Wars”…would like to visit Hawaii.
