Biography
2011-12: Swam three season-best times in Sunshine State Conference Championships…part of a 200-yard medley relay team that took first in Rollins dual meet…swam freestyle and breaststroke.
High School: Homeschooled…competed in swimming and track and field for Bayside High School in Palm Bay, Fla…three-time record holder in 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard IM and 200-yard medley relay… two-time Cape Coast Conference Champion…placed 17th at Florida High School Athletic Association 3A State Finals in 100-yard breaststroke in 2010...earned Most Improved Swimmer honor, Bayside Bear Award, Most Valuable Swimmer honor and Exemplary Part Time Student Award.
Club: Swam two years for Space Coast Swim Club.
Personal: Son of David and Lisa Cannon…chose Florida Tech because it offered best chance for a successful future…after he graduates, he would like to work in aviation for Army…enjoys swimming and favorite athlete is Ryan Lochte…favorite quote is Isaiah 40:31: “They that wait on the Lord will renew their strength, they will mount up with wings of eagles, they will run and not be weary, they will walk and not faint”…lists his favorite book as “The Little Prince”…enjoys watching Jim Carey movies…listens to heavy music, including Oh, Sleeper…likes vacationing in Puerto Rico…would like to go somewhere nobody else has gone.
