2024-25: Became the program's seventh individual to All-American as he swam a 4:23.00 in the 500 Free at the NCAA National Championships... Competed in four different events at the NCAA National Championships (100 Free, 200 Free, 500 Free and 1650 Free)... Ongoren placed fourth at the SSC Championships twice including in the 500 Free with a finals time of 4:26.51 and in the 1650 Free where he recorded a B-cut time of 15:42.91... Helped the 400 Free Relay team to a first-place finish against Lynn with a time of 3:06.23... Won three events against Rollins: 200 Free, 500 Free and 200 IM with times of 1:41.10, 4:39.85 and 1:54.98, respectively... Came in second twice individually against Lynn in the 200 Free and 500 Free with times of 1:40.10 and 4:39.76... Won the 500 Free and 1000 Free at the Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy with times of 4:25.16 (B-cut) and 9:25.34... Won the 500 Free and 1000 Free against Rollins... Notched two personal bests against Florida Southern in the 200 Free and 500 Free with times of 1:38.71 and 4:36.13.  

High School: Attended International School of the Hague in Den Haag, South Holland, Netherlands.

Club: Swam for Blu Marlins Swimming Team in Den Haag, Netherlands for three years.

Personal: Son of Guven and Sanem Ongoren. ...Has one sister Ece. ...Chose Florida Tech for the school's location, opportunities, and athletic programs. ...Following graduation he plans to earn an internship at NASA or SpaceX working towards his goal of swimming in the Olympics.
