Shanysse Emerenciana is in her fifth season as an assistant coach with the Florida Tech softball program, a role she has held since September 2021. A former Panthers player and graduate assistant, she has helped guide the program to four straight seasons of 25+ wins and a 114–85 record during her tenure.
Since joining the full-time staff, Emerenciana has coached 10 All-SSC selections, including five First Team honorees, and helped produce strong team performances on both sides of the ball. Florida Tech posted a .967 fielding percentage in 2024 and set a program record with 118 stolen bases in 2025.
She previously served as a graduate assistant from 2019–2021, supporting player development, recruiting, academics, and day-to-day operations. As a player from 2017–2019, she helped lead Florida Tech to a historic 2019 season featuring a school-record 42 wins and the program’s first Sunshine State Conference Championship, earning All-SSC First Team honors.
Emerenciana appeared in 104 games as a student-athlete, batting .281 with 67 hits, 34 RBI, and 27 stolen bases.
A native of Willemstad, Curaçao, she earned her bachelor’s degree in sports management (2019) and MBA (2021) from Florida Tech.
