Sydney Bender joined the Florida Tech Women's Lacrosse coaching staff in October of 2023 as a volunteer assistant coach.
In 2024, her first season as a volunteer assistant coach, Bender helped guide the team to a 7-10 overall record with a 1-6 SSC record. She managed to help lead the Panthers past #18 Saint Anselm on Thursday, March 14th by a score of 17-15 while allowing Tech to receive a No.19 ranking in the IWLCA polls the following week, the Panther's highest rank in the national poll since the 2021 Preseason Poll.
Bender, a member of the University of Maryland women's lacrosse program from 2018-2022, Bender was a part of the 2019 Terrapins NCAA Division I National Championship team. In 2022, Maryland went on to win that season the B1G 10 Conference Championship while making it to the Final Four make an appearance in that year's Final Four.
She is currently working full-time for Northrop Grumman in Supply Chain.
a 2022 graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, Bender earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.
