Florida Tech Panthers

Previous School: Attended U.S. Naval Academy for one semester before transferring to the University of Colorado at Denver…played lacrosse and did off-shore sailing at Navy and coached two winning seasons of lacrosse at UCD…earned dean’s list recognition at UCD.

High School: Attended Air Academy High School in U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado… earned eight letters… played lacrosse and swam… scored 31 goals with 70 assists in lacrosse…in swimming, she set 200-yard medley relay record in 2010… also swam 100-yard butterfly and relays at state championships … won 2009 Colorado State Girls Lacrosse Championship and 5 v. 5 tournament championship at University of Denver… awarded All-League Honorable Mention as a sophomore, All-League Second Team as a junior, All-Team First Team and All-Conference Team as a junior and senior, captained lacrosse team and won athlete of the year as a senior and participated in Colorado State Swim Championships all four years… was student body president on student council…member of Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society, spirit club and Air Academy volunteer organization.

Club: Swam for Valley Swim Club for 10 years… awarded 2009 Highpoint Award and was a state championship participant in 500 free, 100 free, 200 free, 100 fly, 200 medley relay, 400 free relay, 200 free relay, 100 back, 100 breast and 200 IM.

Personal: Daughter of Garth and Debbie Reid…two sisters, Jessica and Erica, and one brother, Steven… chose Florida Tech because it offers a master’s program in aviation human factors and its proximity to the beach… plans on finishing her master’s degree and then move to Colorado, where she can be a full-time employee with Jeppesen… admires her older sister, Erica, because she has shown her what it is like to make her own path, overcome incredible odds and she has been her role model since she was a young girl.
