Will Thornhill was hired as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in September 2022.

In his role, Thornhill serves as the primary contact for Florida Tech’s women’s soccer, men’s basketball, and baseball programs.

Prior to Florida Tech, Thornhill served as the Communications Intern at the Carolinas Golf Association in spring 2022. He was responsible for executing social media plans for CGA tournaments, producing press releases, and photography.
 
Additionally, Thornhill was a broadcasting intern for the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes where he served as a color commentator during the 2020-21 season. He also worked as a Tournament Operations Intern with Ripken Experience from 2021-22.
 
A graduate of North Carolina State, Thornhill served as Sports Writer for the student newspaper and hosted a post-game recap podcast for local high school football.
 
Thornhill graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Digital Communications and Media/Multimedia and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from North Carolina State University in May 2022.
