Biography
2014-15: Raced in freestyle, breastroke, butterfly and medley events...competed in the 50-yard freestyle (28.86) and 200-yard IM (2:32.93) at the 2015 Sunshine State Conference Championships...placed fourth in the 50 free (29.32) at Rollins.
2013-14: Competed in individual medley and freestyle races during her sophomore season… recorded her fastest time of 2:01.90 against Savannah College of Art & Design (1/11)… Clocked in at 1:04.60 in the 100-yard freestyle at the Shark Invitational (12/17).
2012-13: Earned a spot on Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll...competed in breaststroke and middle distance events in her freshman season…swam season-best time in the 100 breaststroke against Rollins (11/10).
High School: Letterwinner in swimming.
Club: Swam five years with Surrey Knights Swim Club.
Personal: Daughter of Gabriel and Leanne Poon…two sisters, Gala, 21, and Lauren, 19…sister Gala swam for the University of North Florida…career goal is to go to Hong Kong to fly for Cathay Pacific…chose Florida Tech because it was warm, had a swim team and for the flying program…majoring in aviation management-flight.
