Brian Darden was hired as the Assistant Director of Athletic Compliance in May 2023. He was promoted to Associate Director of Athletic Compliance in July 2024.
Darden comes to Florida Tech after serving as a Compliance Graduate Assistant at Florida State University. While at FSU, he assisted with all unofficial and official visit policies and procedures, monitoring of scholar-athlete participation, reviewing potential scholar-athlete transcripts, and all legislative questions.
Before FSU, Darden worked as an Athletics Event Management Intern for the University of South Florida, where he managed gameday operations and aided in facility projects and maintenance. Darden also served as the Communications Assistant for the University of Tampa from June 2020 to May 2022.
Darden was a member of the United States Air Force from October 2011 to September 2014 before graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management from the University of Tampa in May 2022. He is currently working towards his Master of Education from Florida State University.
