Leo Alcaraz joined the Florida Tech Men's Basketball coaching staff in April of 2025. Entering his first season as an assistant coach in 2026, Alcaraz is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the team, including practice, individual player development and film.Â
Leo comes to Florida Tech from Division I Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he served as the program's director of basketball operations. In his role at FDU, Alcaraz oversaw all aspects of the team's off-court responsibilities and assisted with daily player development. Prior to joining FDU, Alcaraz was the head student manager at the University of California, Santa Barbara. During his time at UCSB, the program won the Big West Conference championship and reached NCAA Tournament in 2023.
Coach Alcaraz also comes with NBA Draft experience, working with WME Sports as an NBA Draft Player Development Assistant for two years. In his role, Leo oversaw on-court workouts and helped draft prospects with their mechanics at the highest level.Â
Originally from San Diego, California, Leo graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2024 with a BS in Biopsychology. He is the son of Buena and Heracleo Alcaraz and has two siblings, Leonardo and Leora.Â
