Box Score MELBOURNE, Fla. (Volleyball) – Florida Tech (5-2) competed hard but fell in its first true road test on Friday against provisional Sunshine State Conference member Embry Riddle (8-0). The Panthers' were unable to contain the talented Eagles as FIT succumbed to Embry Riddle with set scores of (14-25, 17-25, 25-21, 23-25).

Jenna Schaffer led all Panthers with 10 kills, but the Florida Tech freshmen were the ones on display in this match. Freshman
Olivia Hersey registered nine kills,
Abigael Brenke recorded eight kills and
Kiersten Rosa dished out 22 assists in the loss to the Eagles. Senior
Kim Juriga notched eight kills and classmate
Ashtin Truesdale added 18 assists. Sophomore libero
Becca Bower was active for the Panthers, tallying a team-high 21 digs.
Leading the Eagles was Evelina Abdurakhmanova with a match-high 15 kills and Ana Pajic, who added 14 kills. Tamires Ferreira distributed 37 assists in addition to 17 digs in the contest.
The Panthers have a quick turnaround as they host Rollins Saturday in the Panthers' SSC home opener at 4 p.m. ET at the Clemente Center. Rollins (1-5) has dropped its last five contests, most recently losing to Ohio Dominican and Lewis on Sept. 11 at the Lewis University Flyer Festival in Romeoville, Illinois.
