Box Score 2 ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (Volleyball) – Florida Tech (2-1, 0-0 SSC) finished off its opening weekend at the Flagler Invitational on Saturday night with split results. The Panthers faced Anderson (2-1, 0-0 SAC) in the match, making quick work of the Trojans in straight sets 25-7, 25-20, 25-17. In the final contest of the event FIT took on host Flagler, dropping a four-setter to the Saints 25-21, 25-19, 23-25, 25-18.
Senior
Ashtin Truesdale paced the Panthers' offense against Anderson, finishing with 27 assists, six digs and four aces. Fellow senior
Marilyn Dick recorded a game-high 19 digs in addition to posting four kills. Senior

Abigael Brenke each finished with a match-high eight kills and combined for five blocks. Defensively, the Panthers held the Trojans to a -.038 hitting percentage.
In the match against Flagler, Truesdale continued her hot streak by tacking on 34 assists, giving her 83 for the weekend. Sophomore
Becca Bower ended with 19 digs to go along with her three assists and two service aces. Senior
Kim Juriga led Florida Tech with seven kills against the Saints.
Florida Tech next hosts the Panther Invitational on Sept. 11-12. It is the first regular season tournament held by the Panthers since the 2009 campaign. On the first day of the invitational, FIT faces Albany State at 1 p.m. ET before taking on Columbus State at 7 p.m. Florida Tech caps off the event with a match versus Puerto Rico-Mayaguez at 3 p.m. ET.
