Fighting Knights Too Much for FIT on the Road in Boca Raton

Lynn scores three goals, two by Jack Watson, in shutout victory over Panthers

BOCA RATON, Fla. (Men's Soccer) – It took Lynn just eight minutes to get on the board Saturday night and with Alexander Roth in net, that would be plenty. That being said the Fighting Knights added two second half goals to defeat the Panthers 3-0 at Bobby Campbell Stadium.

FIT recorded nine shots on goal to Lynn's six but Roth turned away all nine, while defending national player of the week Christian Moerch was only able to keep half of the Fighting Knight's attempts out of the back of the net.

Early on, Alun Webb found Jack Watson in the area with a low cross and Watson but the opportunity away just 7:22 into the contest to put the Fighting Knights up early.

The Panthers kept the deficit to a single goal into halftime but midway through the second half LU added two goals from Dominic Docherty and Watson in the span of six and a half minutes to blow things open.

Things went from bad to worse from there when Fabian Egbele was shown a straight red card with a little under 20 minutes to play, virtually eliminating any hope of a Panther comeback.

Florida Tech continues its road stand Wednesday, taking on Warner in Lake Whales, Florida at 7 p.m. ET.
