LAKELAND, Fla. (Volleyball) – Attempting to comeback from being swept by Eckerd College two days ago, the Florida Tech (5-13, 0-7 SSC) were defeated by No. 25 Florida Southern (14-5, 6-2 SSC) in straight sets at the Jenkins Fieldhouse.
Kelly Germain led the way for the Panthers in kills, with eight over the three sets. Following her seven-kill performance against Eckerd two days ago,
Jenna Schaffer added seven more to her resume, while
Heather Bowersox added five to the team's total.
Kiersten Rosa once again was the team leader with assists, with a 21 in today's matchup. With 13 digs,
Becca Bower led the team in the category.
Anna Tovo paced the Mocs with 18 kills and five digs. Brindl Langley accounted for one-third of the team's digs, racking up 14 of the team's 44. Bethany Besancenez saw a lot of action during the match, dishing out 39 assists.
